Women in the Woods Campout

Ladies, renew your spirit with time outdoors at Lake Frierson State Park. Ladies ages 16 and up are invited to join us for a campout. Hiking, kayaking, yoga, camping, and stargazing are just a small glimpse of the adventures that await you. Whether you have joined us for the entire year of the Women in the Woods series or are joining for the first time, you are welcome! Registration is required for this event. A list of needed and provided supplies will be provided after registration. The registration fee covers the cost of food and supplies. Space is limited so call to register before October 11. To register, call the visitor center at (870) 932-2615 during office hours.

9:30 am – 10 am Check in

10 – 11:30 am Get to Know Each Other + Setting Up Camp

11:30 am – 12:00 pm Camp Games

12 pm – 1 pm Lunch

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Kayak Cruise

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Hike

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Fire Starting + Campfire Cooking

7 pm – 8 pm Spooky Stories

8:30 pm – 9:30 pm Stargazing 

November 3

8 – 9 am Breakfast

9 – 10 am Yoga by the Water

10 – 11 am Planning the Next Adventure/Taking Down Camp

This event is part of the Women in the Woods Series, the first Sunday of every month. Ladies, join us to make new friends, learn new skills, and grow your roots at Lake Frierson State Park.
